Ten beautiful girls will battle it out on Saturday to be crowned as the Face of Africa. The remaining question is who it will be? The 10 hopeful models last week concluded a catwalk session at the Swahili fashion week.
They captured the audience at the Swahili Fashion Week, where they shared the catwalk with the legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell.
The Face of Africa 2010 grand Finale will take place on Saturday in Lagos, Nigeria. Namibia's own designer Chakirra Claasen will also have the opportunity of a lifetime as her designs will be worn by one of the finalists.
The M-Net Face of Africa 2010 winner is guaranteed to walk away with a readymade superstar model toolkit, and a modelling contract from O Model Africa. She will also pocket USD 50 000 in cash from M-Net and skincare products for 12 months from Iman Cosmetics.
An opportunity of a lifetime which is to participate in the New York Fashion week courtesy of Arise Magazine also awaits the Face of Africa winner.
Somalian born supermodel Iman and the first Face of Africa winner Oluchi will be tasked along with other judges to select the M-Net Face of Africa 2010 winner at the glittering live finale.
Iman began her career in 1975 as a model. Iman was born in Somalia and grew up speaking five languages.
She studied political science at Nairobi University where she was discovered by legendary photographer Peter Beard.
She is muse to fashion designers including YVES. St. Laurent, Versace and Calvin Klein.
During her 14 years as a model, she worked with top photographers Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn and Annie Liebovitz.
Iman is founder and CEO of IMAN Cosmetics, skincare and fragrances, a beauty company that created the first cosmetics and skincare collection designed for women of all skin colours.

The M-Net's inaugural Face of Africa, Oluchi, as one of the most sought after faces in the business remains one of the busiest New Yorkbased female models in the fashion industry.
Within a year of winning Face of Africa, Oluchi achieved what few African models before her had done. She moved to New York and made an immediate connection with the world of art and beauty. She also graced the covers of publications such as Vogue and Elle magazine.
Oluchi is indeed an inspiration for African women, as she is a fashion icon, a mother to 2 year old son and wife to the top New York-based designer Luca Orlandi.
