| Otis Finck: Tunacor FC emerged as winners of the second 2010 Namfi HIV/Aids Awareness Day Beach Soccer Tournament and the Namibian Airports Company (NAC) team won the Volleyball tournament held at Independence beach last Saturday. Tunacor defeated Han-gana 2-1 in the final and won the tournament for the second consecutive time. The Namibian Airports Company defeated the Walvis Bay Municipality 2 1 and clinched the volleyball competition. The Navy was the defending Volleyball champions but could unfortunately not participate in this year's event. Walvis Bay Mayor Uilika Nambahu once again officially opened the tournament that was well attended and commended Namfi for their inno-vative approach towards raising Aids awareness via sport. Twelve teams competed in the soccer tournament and eight teams competed in the volleyball tournament. Mr. Clive Kambongarera Namfi Acting Director hailed the event as a huge success. Money generated via the event will be donated to AIDS/HIV patients and patients with Tuber-culoses at the Walvis Bay hospital. Hangana defeated Makto 2-1 and Tunacor received a free pass in the semi-final round of the soccer competition. The Municipality defeat-ed Hangana 2-1 and the Namibian Airports Com-pany defeated Kraatz 2-0 in the semi-final round of the Volleyball compe-tition.
