Nestor Katangolo (33) who appeared earlier this week in the Magistrates court of Walvis Bay on charges relating to reckless driving, assault and resisting a police officer from performing his duties was found not guilty and acquitted of all charges. His bail of N$ 500-00 was also refunded to him. Katangolo will return to court on 31 March for his second case following his arrest earlier this year for drug possession.
In other drug relating cases, Timon de Pau (24) and Ximba Vidrilty Masoli (50) had their drug possession cases withdrawn by the state.
The three suspects, Llewelleyn du Plessis, Ridahwaan Mouton (22) and Romano Lance Plezens (24) had their drug possession case postponed until 3 June for outstanding lab results.
Christina Johanna Williams appeared on charges relating to fraud and theft. Her case was remanded to 18 May for further investigation. She was released on bail of N$ 2000-00.
Laina David who appeared for theft was sentenced to 8months imprisonment of which four were suspended for a period of two years.
Tangi Kavenandunga (33) had his case remanded until 19 April for further investigation. He appear-ed for the possession of suspected stolen goods.
The housebreaking and theft case against six suspects, Vihlo Asino(32) Johannes Amunyela (25), Theofulus Henock(24), David Asino, Lukas Ndinelao (32) and Getrud Shikalepo were postponed until 24 May for plea and trial.
Shikalepo remains free on bail of N$ 500-00 while warrants of arrest remain in force for Theofulus Henock and David Asino. All other suspects remain free on bail of N$ 1000-00 each.
Simon Gariseb was found not guilty of housebreaking and theft. His bail of N$ 500-00 was also refunded to him.
Niklaas Alfred Rooza was granted N$ 1500-00 bail for theft and common assault. His case was remanded to 3 May for further investigation.
Leonard Nangolo (35) was granted bail of N$ 1000-00 for theft. His case was remanded to 8 March.
Joof Broodryk had his malicious damage to property case remanded to 24 May for plea and trial.
He remains free on bail of N$ 800-00.
Kayonaa Mujoro (40) had his rape case re-manded o 17 May. He was granted bail of N$ 2500-00.
Elias Kambinda had his attempted rape case remanded to 11 May for plea and trial. He remains free on bail of N$ 600-00.
Matheus Nghipandula(20) and Moses Shuumbi(22) appeared for operating a vehicle without a licence . They were each granted bail of N$ 300-00. Their case was remanded to 20 April for further investigation.
Willem Nikanor who allegedly assaulted a police officer had his case remanded to 29 March for further investigation. He remains free on bail of N$ 200-00.
The common assault case against Engelhard Brand (38) was remanded to 12 May. He remains free on bail of N$ 1000-00.
Martha Shataka (27) was granted N$ 2000 bail for charges relating to fraud. Her case was remanded to 19 May for plea and trial. |
