7-year-old commits suicide by hanging

A grade two learner at Emmanuel Reuters Primary School in Kuisebmond hanged herself from a cross member inside a wardrobe at her house while alone at home on Thursday 17 January.

Annastasia Tilomalenga Kampulu was left home alone when her mother and younger sister left for church. Her older brother went to work at the same time. Upon returning home, the mother found her older son outside the house, as he did not have a key. When the mother opened the door, she saw her daughter was hanging from a cloth. No foul play is suspected. The next of kin were informed.
