Accidents at Kuisebmond Bridge

On Saturday afternoon a head-on collision was reported, which resulted in both drivers sustaining serious injuries and had to be extricated from the wreckage by emergency and rescue personnel using hydraulic rescue tools.

The accident occurred in Sam Nujoma Drive close to the Kuisebmond bridge in Walvis Bay, in front of Cymot. The driver of a black Volkswagen sedan was apparently under the influence, but by the time of going to press could not be confirmed. The driver of the other vehicle was rushed to Windhoek with multiple breaks in his leg. The accident was apparently caused by high speed and overtaking.
