Action cricket kicks off

Action Cricket is a whole new ball game. With teams of 6-a-side and simple rules to follow, people of all ages can play this sport. Coastal Action Sports Arena hosted the opening matches last weekend here in Swakopmund.

Two opening matches kicked off the competition with QK Katte taking the win against Wille Honne. The second game saw Pirates take the lead when they played the Woestyn Kwaggas. A further three games took place Tuesday to Thursday last week. More games took place within the week with exciting action.

Action Cricket teams are generously sponsored by various companies such as Taleni Africa and QK Construction among others. The organiser Johnny Van der Westhuizen extended an invitation to cricket teams and supporters to participate and support the game.
