Ambulance part of three-car pile-up
An ambulance, underway to attend to a Covid-19 incident at a fish factory in Walvis Bay on Wednesday night’s, mission was cut short on the intersection of Nangolo Mbumba Drive and Johnson Mabakeng Road.
As the ambulance was skipping a red traffic light, it was hit by a taxi crossing the intersection on a green single. The sheer force of the accident topped the ambulance over and it landed on a stationary vehicle waiting to also enter the intersection.
The ambulance had its sirens and emergency lights deployed.
Unfortunately the for the taxi driver, he was found to be operating his vehicle unlicensed.
No injuries were reported.
