Armed suspects rob service station
Six armed robbers targeted the Total fuel service station in Narraville late on Sunday.
A case of armed robbery has been opened. The suspects fled with N$54 000 in cash and various other items, including a computer box which records the premises’ close circuit television system.
The police said: “It is alleged that between 21:30 and 22:30 on Sunday evening six masked suspects entered the Total shop, five armed with pistols and one with a knife. The suspects held the workers at gunpoint and demanded money.
The suspects left the scene with N$54 000 removed from the safe, the CCTV camera box and remote controls, a Toshiba laptop and a bundle of keys. A white Toyota Corolla was seen in the area during the robbery, but no further details could be obtained and is not clear if it was the get-away car. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident yet. NamPol request assistance from the public, asking anyone with information to contact Detective Inspector Ashikoto at 081 255 4504″.
