Bank Windhoek Annual Golf Day

An excellent field of 49 players turned up on Saturday 1 June in support of the Bank Windhoek Annual Golf Day that also doubled as an International Pairs Qualifier.

Fanie Terblanche and his team of Nicolette Viljoen, Sonja van der Merwe and Sherlien Horases made sure that the day went according to plan and that the players enjoyed some added extras – this included a watering station between Number 9’s tee box and 18’s fairway – which gave some well deserved respite.
Weather conditions were good although it did get a bit chilly as the day wore on. Recorded 2-clubs came from Michael Ludeke x2 and Stephanus Bonifacius.
The Winners: Longest Drive Number 5 – Dawid Coetzee, Nearest to the Pin – Gary Knight Number 3 and John Horne Number 16.

Our International Pairs qualifiers this time around are: Michael Ludeke and Gary Knigh, Rina Knight and Lucille Abrahams.
We plan to play a final qualifier on Saturday 22 June.

Wednesday 29 May we had some Absolutely Water products up for grabs; water; juice and flavored tea. Weather conditions were a bit mixed although that did not seem to affect the scores that were posted.
Well played to all the guys and girls and thanks to Berdene and Neil for always being there when needed. They have recently taken over the running of the APW outlet by the WB Vineta Shopping Centre.
The Winners: 18 holes – Michael Ludeke 40 points (whoops there goes the handicap) followed by Fanie Terblanche 39 points (recently returned from a couple of weeks in Europe – the break obviously did him good) whilst our 9 hole winner was Cash-box van Wyk with a fantastic 20 points over the front 9 (talk about chalk and cheese).
Winter time is upon us, please remember that tee off time has changed to commence at 11.30am.
