Blue Waters Sports Clubs’ Condolences on passing of Eliphas ‘oupapa’ Shipanga

Blue Waters Sports Club is saddened by the news of the passing of former player and coach Eliphas ‘Oupapa’ Shipanga on Tuesday evening.

The club, on behalf of the executive committee, members, technical team, players and supporters extends its deepest condolences to the Shipanga and Blue Water families and those who played with him during his playing days.
Bazooka, as he was affectionately known, was a man of the people who valued and treated all human beings equally, regardless of their social standing.

Not many sports personalities have the unique privilege of having played an impactful role in our country’s sports fraternity like he did.  He went from player to coaching some of the biggest teams in the country such as Blue Waters and Tigers FC and occupied several roles at a national level, such as serving as the secretary general of NFA.
Club chairman Robert Shimooshili speaking on behalf of Blue Waters said:  “We are saddened by the passing of Mr Shipanga. We will all agree that he was a visionary man who wanted nothing but the best for Namibian sports. His guidance and wisdom as one of the Blue Waters elders over the years has helped the club to grow from strength to strength. We are grateful to him for the years he spent at Blue Waters.”
Eliphas Shipanga will always be part of the Blue Waters family.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
