Coastal outfit Blue Waters edged Young African 3-1 in the third and fourth place play-off on Saturday to win a bronze medal in the 2021 MTC Namibia Football Association (NFA) AWEH Cup at the Vineta Sports stadium in Swakopmund last Saturday 23 October.

Blue Waters, who lost in the semi-final against Civics a week ago, opened the scoring within the opening 20 minutes through a brilliant goal by Prins Tjueza with a goal by Moses David to make it 2-0 before Young African managed to get a goal back by Tjimbauja Kapuuofor a 2-1 half time score.

Blue Waters coach, Paulus Shipanga, said he was happy with his team’s performance.
“It has been really long since Blue Waters won a trophy but we told the boys to enjoy themselves today and we should not allow other teams to come bully us at home, so winning the bronze is something we are proud of,” he said.
