Cannabis farm under everyone’s noses

Two people have been nabbed in Swakopmund over the weekend for running a cannabis farm in the backyard of their home in the town’s Kramersdorf neighbourhood. Police found a total of 71 producing cannabis plants, a further 3,664 kilograms of dried cannabis, an undisclosed number of cannabis seeds and cannabis oil.
Cheryl Antoinette Green (57) (pictured below) and Dylan Adriaan van Wyk (21) made a first appearance in the Swakopmund magistrate’s court yesterday on charges of dealing in cannabis and possession of the illicit drug.
Police searched the premises at weekend and came upon what one member of law enforcement described as an urban cannabis farm. Pictures provided to Namib Times confirmed just that.
