On Tuesday morning, a vehicle lost control on the C34 road behind Dune 7 causing the vehicle to veer off the road and overturn multiple times. St Gabriel Ambulance Service and E Med Rescue 24 arrived at the scene to provide emergency services to the 4 occupants who sustained injuries. Serious, less serious and minor injuries were recorded at the scene.

After being stabilized at the scene, the occupants of the vehicle were transported to Walvis Bay State Hospital. Due to the nature of injuries sustained by 2 of the occupants, they were transferred to Windhoek.
The accident occurred while driving on a wet section of the road, causing the loss of control.
Prior to this accident, a tanker truck of Protea Chemicals also jack-knifed on the C34.
