Celebrating an undying camaradie

The Walvis Bay Dialysis Center (WBDC) opened doors to its first patients on 7 December 2020.
WBDC now provides life-saving dialysis therapy to local patients, who previously had to travel to other centers to have their healthcare needs met. The center is dedicated to serving all patients suffering from chronic kidney failure, as well as aiding to improve and develop the medical infrastructure within Walvis Bay.

WBDC is conveniently located within the Welwitschia Medipark, ensuring easy access to medical practitioners and allied healthcare providers. The facility comprises of five dialysis units performing chronic hemodialysis therapy to patients for extended hours. Having partnered with Welwitschia Hospital, WBDC is also equipped to provide acute dialysis therapy for patients within the hospital or the ICU setting.
WBDC has been carefully designed to provide a holistic treatment approach to dialysis therapy and patients with chronic kidney diseases at large, with a special interest in positive patient outcomes and improved quality of life.
With a strong medical team, WBDC aims to set a new standard in integrated healthcare that improve patient comfort, access, and health outcomes. The center’s workflow is carefully designed to accommodate all types of patients, considering their daily occupational commitments as well as their individual health needs.
