Cgals wins in Russia

The Swakopmund Cgals Chamber Choir has won the Open Category for “Musica Sacra with accompaniment” at the 9th World Choir Games currently taking place in Sochi (Russia). The Cgals sing in a total of three categories at the event and have so far completed two categories. The next category will be completed next week after which the Cgals will sing in a concert organised by Interkultur and a last time during the Closing Ceremony. “We have also received a Silver Diploma for the category Folklore a cappella,” Karen Miller, a member of the choir, informed namib times from Sochi.
