Chicken King now open at Karibib

Chicken King, a chicken fast food outlet that is the brain child of Walvis Bay resident Mr. Johan Swanepoel, opened its first franchised branch at Karibib recently.
Chicken King Karibib is owned by Phanus and Hannes van der Walt, who commit themselves to expand their business into other parts of Erongo, for Chicken King to create more jobs and to do its part as social partner with the Karibib local authority to uplift the people of the town and the wider region.
Chicken King saw humble beginnings at the Metropolitan (Shoprite) Plaza in Walvis Bay some years ago and was followed by a second outlet in Kuisebmond. Mr. Swanepoel developed a growth strategy for Chicken King and in doing so it became among the first franchises fully born and bred on Namibian soil. More particularly, on home soil in Walvis Bay.
The opening took place Saturday 1 September. Guests of honour included the mayor of Karibib Clr. Petrus Nabot, Mr. Lesley Goreseb, the Chief Executive Officer of the Karibib municipality, inspector Kauna Ndjago of the Namibian Police at Karibib, Mr. George Botshiwe, the Acting Managing Director of QKR Navachab Gold Mine and the Acting Mining Manager Mr. Kristof Avia (pictured with the owners)
