China Harbour soon to load construction vessels as the container terminal project draws to a close

The heavy lift vessel Xin Guang Hua is underway to Walvis Bay to load construction vessels Chinese Harbour & Engineering Company (CHEC) used locally the past few years to construct the container terminal on reclaimed land in the port of Walvis Bay. Xin Guang Hua is seen here carrying a deep sea rig component on her cargo deck. The vessel is designed to sink, in order for her cargo deck to lower below the water surface to load floating structures like rigs, ships and barges.
