Christmas and New Year’s babies

It was a Christmas and New Year’s miracle for several local families as they welcomed their new additions to the world.

Welwitschia Private Hospital in Walvis Bay said they had no Christmas births this year and only one boy and one girl were born on New Year’s Day at its hospital.
Walvis Bay State hospital had 3 Christmas babies, two boys and one girl. Sixteen babies were born on New Year’s Day, seven boys and nine girls. The smallest baby born at Walvis Bay this festive sea-son weighed 3 kg and the biggest, 3.8 kg.
Swakopmund had 5 Christmas babies and four babies were born on New Year’s Eve. The Swakopmund State Hospital said 5 babies, 2 girls and 3 boys were born on Christmas in its hospital. The Swakopmund District Hospital welcomed three baby girls on 1 January 2021. The smallest baby weighed 2.83 kg and the biggest, 4.27kg. The Cottage Medi-Clinic welcomed the fourth New Year’s baby
