Christmas spirit shared with elderly

Judite Correira and friends in collaboration with the Janet Martin Charity Foundation (JMCF) shared the Christmas spirit with about 300 senior citizens and a group of vulnerable children in the in the Walvis Bay Town Hall.

The elderly and children were treated with a lunch box and gift packs and were entertained with Christmas songs by Vivian Molauly and Joe Blom and Judite Correira, the reigning Miss Walvis Bay Private High School and a goodwill ambassador for the charity with her friends Daniel Allen, Anneli Janse van Rensburg, Britney Botha, Coine Engelbrecht, Anna van Rensburg, Joy Loveira and Albertus de Klerk with a Christmas play about the birth of Jesus and songs.
Walvis Bay Deputy Mayor and Founder of JMCF, Penelopé Martin – Louw said “The event was only for the elderly 65 years and above and the vulnerable children of Sunshine centre and the Multipurpose centre in Walvis Bay”.
Martin-Louw added that the Foundation is there to help the elderly and therefore need sponsor to make all their projects a success.
Correira said at the event that “It’s not how much you give but how much love you put into giving”.
Correira added that she is pleased to be part of this project by JMCF which was established by Deputy Mayor Penelope Martin-Louw in honour of her late mother and acknowledged the contributions that the Foundation has made to the elderly and vulnerable children in the community over many years and that she is looking forward to be part of many more projects being implemented by JMCF.
“The elderly and vulnerable children are important to the community and acknowledged the contributions made by the elderly towards the community over many years and that the children are an inspiration to her and that they deserve just the best in life” Correira added.
Correira and her friends thanked JMCF and the sponsors Intergate Namibia Fishmar for what they did for the senior citizens and vulnerable children in the harbour town and “I am thankful for these special people, who support me, uplift me and bring joy to my soul”.
