Coastal Anglers at World Angling Games

About 20 anglers from the coast is part of the Namibian team that will represent the country at six different angling codes at the Fishing World Championships (SFWC) in South Africa from today 8 February to Friday 15 February.


More than 7 000 anglers and officials from all over the World are expected to descend upon South Africa for the games that will be hos-ted at 19 different venues all over the South African coast with a total of 13 different world titles up for grabs. Namibia will compete in five categories, namely artificial lure angling, bass angling and species angling, as well as two exhibition events, namely freshwater bank angling and light tackle boat freshwater angling.
