CODAC Launches booklet

The Coastal Drug Awareness Campaign (CODEC) launched a booklet at De Duine Secondary School, Walvis Bay in an amplified attempt to discourage the use of drugs and alcohol.

CODAC Team had a brilliant year in 2018. This year they kicked off with the launch of the first Coastal Drug Awareness Campaign Booklet. This first edition was received from the office of the First Lady of the Republic of Namibia, Madam Monica Geingos.
Coastal Offenders Drug Awareness Campaign (CODEC) is a drugs, alcohol and tobacco abuse awareness campaign spearheaded by offenders & officers at Walvis Bay Correctional Facility.
The booklets by will be distributed to various school libraries meant to be read by school going children with the aim of enlightening, educating and sensitizing these young minds on ways how to avoid falling victim to the drug web, teenage alcohol use, and peer pressure.
At the occasion the principal and some of the learner signed the Break Free from Violence pledges a campaign headed by first lady of Namibia Monica Geingos. These pledges will be available to all CODAC’s platforms country wide.One of the leaner’s from Tutaleni High School Gellert Glen Kasper become the new ambassador of CODAC.
