Complaints pour in about children crossings

Several complaints reached the Namib Times once more over the dangers at some road crossings at schools in Walvis Bay.

Ignorant drivers are putting children’s lives in danger by either ignoring pedestrian crossings or darting towards the crossings at high speed. Unfortunately, there is another side of the coin too: mischievous children are playing with the traffic light switches at the pedestrian crossing at the Walvis Bay primary school, often leading to drivers having to apply brakes or having to wait at crossings with no children in sight…
