Corruption destroyed public’s trust in Walvis Bay municipality – AR
The Affirmative Reposition (AR) movement in a statement on Wednesday said the municipality of Walvis Bay’s poor state of affairs can mostly be laid at the doorstep of corruption.
The public statement follows after the Anti-Corruption Commission of Namibia on the same day confiscated computers and other data storage devices of three prominent officials, as part of yet another investigation into corruption at the local authority.
AR says corruption in the municipality is perpetuated by officials who compromised their positions of trust to serve self-interest and serve the self-interest and greed of individuals in the private sector.
The state of affairs led to the erosion of the public of Walvis Bay’s trust.
