Crash and run

An accident scene was found abandoned by the driver and possible occupants of a vehicle that veered off the road and hit a palm tree at around 03:00 on Tuesday morning. The accident was on the B2 coas-tal road close to Walvis Bay.

Morning commuters were baffled by the scene of this badly damaged, lone vehicle and no person near it to be seen.
The exact reason the driver lost control of the vehicle is unclear. Equally, whether anyone got hurt in the vehicle when it hit the palm tree is also unknown. The fact that the palm tree was uprooted as a result of the impact is an indication high speed might have caused this accident.
