Day of Dolphin Rugby Tournament 2018

The esteemed annual Day of Dolphin Rugby Tournament hosted by the Swakopmund-based Dolphin Rugby Club is scheduled for 27 October 2018.

The Day of Dolphin Rugby Tournament has become an annual tradition in Swakopmund, with numerous rugby clubs looking forward to competing with other clubs, while numerous supporters can’t wait to cheer on their favourite teams.

The Dolphin Rugby Club is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Namibia. The Club was established in 1981, and has produced several players who competed at the national and international levels.

It produced players such as Sop/Sop de Waal and Rian Jantjies in the past. The Day of Dolphin Rugby Tournament was first held in the late 1980s and has grown tremendously over the years. This year will be no different.  It is forecasted that this year will be bigger and better than before.

The team that will compete to hold on to the 2017 Day of Dolphin Tournament Trophy is the UNAM Rugby Team.

Fourteen (14) teams will compete for this esteemed trophy this year. The rugby teams to participate comes from all corners of Namibia, even as far as Lüderitz. This will be a great day of rugby. May the best team win.
