Distell Golf Day

The Distell Multiplier Stableford that was held on Saturday 8 June saw a reasonable field of golfers on the course for a great day of golf.

The Winners are 1st Thomas Shitaleni and Hel-mut Ndjendja 78 points, 2nd Steven Johns and George Murasiki 76 points, 3rd Clive Lawrence and Theo Haimbondi 74 points 4th Bertie Saunderson and Achmet Abrahams 65 points (c/o) over Gerhard Byleveld and Brian Nel, 6th Marco Swarts and Michale Tordesillas, 7th Athol Mc Lean and Graham Louw 42 points, 8th Marco Swarts and Sammy Hamunyela 41points and 9th Michael Ludeke and Stuart Salt 40 points.
The I Tyre golf event was held on Wednesday 5 June with a good field of golfers out enjoying the golf course with some lightning fast greens to contend with.
The Nearest to the Pin out on Number 12 went to Willie Van Zyl. Numerous count outs were the order of the day from there on resulting in the following winners: 18 holes – Gary Knight 39 points; 2nd: Willie van Zyl 38 points winning a 3 way c/o; 9 holes – Peter Bass 19 points over the back 9 also a 3 way c/o; Bruce Burns recently returned from holiday was awarded the Longest Day.
Chris Du Randt joined us for the day and assisted at the prize-giving – always great to have the sponsor on hand.
