Donation to police
Police personnel, manning road blocks and conducting patrols this festive season to ensure everyone abides to the laws and are safe on our roads, received a boost recently with donations to make life on the beat easier for them. This include bottled water and cool drink.
The first donation was last week when Kuiseb Mineral Water, owned by Mr Christo Swart donated bottled water branded with customers’ logos to the police. On the top picture: Mr Swart (on the right) with his customers Mr Boetie Bruwer of the Belgian Chocolatique, Deon Grühnschloss (Gendev), Nadia Hannabus (Q-crete) and Oudat Asino Kondombolo (LSS) . They are with police officials Chief Inspector Ngaamwa, Langenhoven and Knowles.
The second donation was yesterday by Namibia Breweries, MTC and Self Regulating Alcohol Industry Forum (SAIF) which donated breathalysers and other much needed equipment for law enforcement on our roads. The beneficiaries are Nampol Traffic, the Walvis Bay municipal and the Swakopmund municipal traffic departments.
