Drilling rig to Walvis Bay for two months repairs in port

Elgin Brown Hamer Namibia confirmed yesterday that negotiations concluded with a rig owner for this semi-submersible drilling rig, SKD JAYA, to be transported to Walvis Bay for repairs and maintenance. The project include work on the rig alongside in the port of Walvis Bay and some work to be carried out at sea off Walvis Bay. The rig is expected to stay here for two months. An official announcement is expected later this week.
