Well-known Walvis Bay businessman Louis Nasilowski among those arrested

The owner of Largo Video at Walvis Bay, Louis Nasilowski (58), counts among those arrested in various anti-drug operations at the coast over the weekend. The total value of the drugs: N$18 760-00.

Nasilowski was found to be in the possession of the so-called “Speed” drug which included “Smoke” and “Wiz” both popular among young people and also believed to be one of the entry level drugs that leads to levels of addictions that require users to switch over to harder drugs.
Nasilowski was due to make a first appearance in the Walvis Bay magistrates court today on charges of dealing in cannabis, but he reportedly fell ill and was transported by ambulance to a Windhoek hospital yesterday. He remains under police guard.
The Namibian Police also on Friday at the Swakopmund road-block intercepted alleged drug dealers. A total of 19 packs of cannabis were confiscated. The drugs are valued at N$85 000. A Namibian and a Swazi national made first appearances on drug trafficking charges in the Swakopmund magistrates court. Total value of drugs seized: N$103 760-00
