Erongo netball teams opts for gold’

On 18 February different netball teams around the region competed for the Erongo Netball Trials for the 1st and 2nd league hosted at Vineta Sport Staduim.
Navi Netball club ended on top of the first League with gold, while Eleven Arrows took the silver and Prison Netball Club received bronze. On the Second League, Amadac (Karibib Air force) took the first position (gold), Eleven Arrows took silver and Swakopmund Netball Club came in third with bronze. All first position teams in first and second league received trophies while the rest received a medal each.
These champions will represent Erongo in the regional championship where all 14 regions within the country will battle it out on 4th of March in Tsumeb.
“The day went off well, players managed to make a success of the day and judging from that I’m am positive that Erongo is going to end up victorious in that match. Furthermore, to make sure of that they are under extensive training by coach Kangu, training them from Tuesday to Thursday’s”, says Michelle Brocks, Public Relation Officer.
Nevertheless, the committee wishes the team well on this battle and hopes they bring honour to the region. They also give a “thank you” to all participants, whilst all old netball players who wish to make a comeback can report to Michelle at 081 214 104, as well as any sponsors.
