Erongo RED opens customer care office in Omaruru

Erongo RED inaugurated its Omaruru Customer Care Office last Thursday. This office now brings customer care closer to inhabitants of not only the Omaruru-area but also Karibib, Usakos, Uis, Okombahe, Otjimbingwe and Omatjete, the Chief Executive of the regional electricity distributor Fessor Mbango said at the opening.

According to Mbango Erongo RED invested over N$30 million in Omaruru alone for the replacement of street lights, the network upgrade and electrification of the town’s Hakahana informal settlement.
“With the modern office completed, Erongo RED will endeavour to deliver excellent service to its customers in Omaruru and surrounding villages and farms. Erongo RED is committed to empower local Namibians by opening up various opportunities for them”, Mbango proclaimed.
The cutting of the ribbon and unveiling of the plaque at the entrance to the new centre was conducted by the Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy Kornelia Shilunga (pictured). Various high-level guests attended the opening including the Governor of Erongo, Clr Cleophas Mutjavikua.
