Erongo Regional Netball Team Second in National Netball Championships

The Erongo Region Netball team come second in the inaugural Debmarine Senior National Netball Championships after losing in the final against Khomas Region 41-29 on Saturday evening in Windhoek. Only ten of the 14 regions in the country made it to Windhoek for the National Championships.

Netball Namibia PRO Rebekka Goagoses said:”the match had been eagerly awaited after Khomas Region managed to beat Erongo 17-16 in their league encounter on Friday evening. That match, however was only played over two halves totalling 30 minutes.
The final consisted of four quarters totalling 60 minutes, and Khomas’ experience eventually paid off in the final. Khomas received the winner’s cheque of N$30 000, a floating trophy and gold medals. Erongo received N$15 000 and silver medals. Omaheke Region was third received N$9 000 and bronze medals.
