Erongo Squash players emerge as Nationals champions

Erongo Squash players that competed in the Visions Consulting Namibia National Squash hosted at the Swakopmund Sport Club over the past weekend emerged as winners in the men’s and women’s sections.
The prestigious event attracts 42 Squash players from all over Namibia that compete in the National Championships. With some extremely fierce matches and competition at the highest level and some upset results along the way all the players were fighting to be the best in the country.
Emil Dorgeloh from the Buccaneers Squash club in Walvis Bay and Judy Savage from SFC Squash club emerged as the winners in the men’s A and women’s A respectively with Dries Tredoux from Wanderers Squash club in Windhoek as the winner of the men’s B section.
The finals was contested by only coastal players with Dorgeloh defeated Angelo Titus 3-1 in the men’s A section and Judy Savage beat Chantel de Gouveia 3-0 in the women’s A section.
Dorgelogh beat Danie Greeff 3 – 1, while Titus defeated Brandon Grane 3 – 2 in the semi-finals of the men’s division and Savage defeated Charne Fourie 3 – 0 while De Gouviea proceeded to final due to a round robin draw.
The SFC Squash club thanked Vision Consulting for its amazing sponsorship and for giving back to the game of squash. Without the sponsorship the event would not happen. The SFC committee did a great job in hosting the event with keeping in COVID-19 regulations and everything ran smoothly.
