Fire at historic landmark

One of Swakopmund’s historic landmarks, Hohenzollernhaus, was damaged by a fire on Wednesday evening. The building was constructed between 1904 and 1906 and is now part of an up-market accommodation block. The Swakopmund fire brigade could contain the fire in time. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage is yet to be determined.
