Five arrested for possession of Crack and Cannabis

Five men, of which two are foreign nationals, were arrested in separate incidences for the possession of and dealing in drugs, following Nampol police searches on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

On Tuesday evening, 18 January, a 36-year-old man was arrested and charged with Dealing in Cannabis and Possession of Crack Cocaine during a police search in the Petrus Kahenge Ozondje location, Omaruru. The suspect was found in possession of cannabis and crack to the value of N$42 750. During a police search in Karibib on Wednesday, 19 January, a 23-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were apprehended at Kings Barbershop in the town, when found in possession of 45 grams of Cannabis with a street value of N$2 250. During another police search on the same day in Kuisebmond, two foreign nationals, aged 33-years-old, were taken into custody and charged with Possession of Cannabis and Crack Cocaine. Nampol seized 4 grams of cannabis and 3 blocks of Crack Cocaine with a value of N$1 700. The above-mentioned suspects made their first court appearances in Walvis Bay’s Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 20 January.
