FNB show support for Senior Golf

Tuesday 27 September was an important day for Senior Golf in Namibia when First National Bank handed over their generous sponsorship of N$40 000 towards the 2016 Annual SAGES Inter Branch Golf Tournament that is scheduled to take place at the Rossmund Golf Course for the 31st year in succession between the 31 October and 4 November.

During the course of the week it is expected that over 60 golfers from all corners of Namibia and South Africa will take to the fairways for a week of golf and camaraderie. The tournament has become the major golfing event for senior golfers on their annual calendar. As always we look forward to entertaining all our visitors from near and far including the National President of SAGES South Africa.
The format for the Tournament is Individual Stableford and will be contested over 4 days – golfers compete in various divisions depending on their handicap in teams of 4 with 3 scores to count on each day – daily scores are accumulated and at the end of the week we will have a winning team and individuals from each division. Prizes are also awarded each day to individual winners in each division. On Friday evening the serious stuff is over and it is time to let the hair down and enjoy the Gala Dinner and final prize-giving ceremony before saying farewell.
