Four stocktheft suspects arrested
The four outstanding suspects of the five stocktheft suspects who allegedly stole 14 donkeys between Friday and Saturday from the grazing field at Omutiuanduko village in the Omatjete Resettlement area, was arrested at Tsawises Pos, Khorixas area, yesterday morning.
The four suspects ran away before being apprehended on Saturday, while one suspect was already arrested, but their identities were known to the police which lead to their arrest yesterday morning.
The police were hot on their heels on Saturday as the donkey tracks lead to Tsawises Pos 3, where four donkeys were found to be slaughtered by the suspects and ten were recovered alive. The donkeys which belong to a number of different owners have a combined value of N$19 000.
The suspects will appear in the Omaruru magistrates court today.
