From China with love…

Namibians must really be proud of these two young men, Martino Swartz and Oiva Wilbard. They are studying engineering at China’s Hohai University in the city of Nanjing.

They are now in their second year and had to learn to master the Mandarin language in a matter of one year, as this is the medium of instruction in China. Swartz hails from Okahandja and Wilbard from Northern Namibia. They find the Chinese people very helpful and friendly and says they are immensely impressed by the level of instruction and the availability of studying aids. They describe it all as world class. The two are studying on bursaries of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) and expressed their deepest appreciation for what the company is doing for them. Check out namib times’ Facebook Page where our two stars are thanking CHEC in the Mandarin language.
