German couple in Accident

A case of reckless and negligent driving has been opened against a German National after the vehicle him and his wife was traveling in veered of the road and rolled several times between Okahandja and Karibib. In the meantime, three more accidents have been reported in the Walvis Bay area alone.

It is alleged that Dr. Uwe Jens Dehio (75), and his wife, Ruth Martha Wiegard Dehio were traveling on the B2 road from Okahandja towards Karibib. The accident happened on Friday 7 December at around 13:10. According to the Spokesperson for the police in the Erongo Region, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, the white Toyota pick-up veered off the road at around 32 km before Karibib which resulted in the car overturning and rolling several times, causing the couple moderate injuries.
Dr. Uwe Jens Dehio sustained head and back injuries and his wife sustained a broken left arm and a shoulder injury.
