Good support for the Novanam Monthly Medal
Excellent golf was played on Saturday at the Novanam Monthly Medal at Rossmund. Despite soaring temperatures, golfers turned out in their numbers. The MD of Novanam/Pescanova Michael Tordesillas were among the players and later officiated at the prize giving ceremony.
Numerous “2-clubs” were recorded from Johnny Flook; Marco Swarts; Chris Heunis; Kevin Wentzel and Grant Mather.
The Overall Medal Winner was Bertie Saunderson with a 69nett: “A” Div: Grant Mather 71nett (off a zero handicap – so a well-earned par for the course); “B” Div: Achmet Abrahams 73nett; “C” Div: Stuart Salt 77nett; Ladies: Rina Knight 78nett; Juniors: Jonathan Mather 81nett. Well played to all and thanks to the sponsor.
The Neil MacLeod and Absolutely Perfect Water golf day on Wednesday 27 March – There was all in all a fair field of golfers resulting in a count out over the 18-hole competition between Pa Fritz and Gary both with 37pts; whilst Fritz Junior secured the nine-hole prize with 19pts over the back nine.
It was good to have you back on the course Neil – hope the new driver did his stuff. Well played to all and thanks again to the sponsor Absolutely Perfect Water – the one stop shop for ice; still water; sparkling water; flavored water etc. – visit them at Vineta Shopping Centre and check out what they have to offer.
Don’t forget that on Wednesday 3 April we host the I-Tyre Golf day.
Then also, we will host the 2019 Region 5 Tournament from 8 – 12 April and the 2019 NAGU Namibian Open on 13/14 April.
