Grown humpback whale beached at Solitude

A grown humpback whale was stranded on some rocks at Solitude south of Henties Bay between Sunday evening and Monday morning.
The cause of death of this marine mammal has not yet been determined. Members of Namibia Dolphin Project were called to the scene yesterday where they examined the carcass.
Whale strandings reported along the Namibian coastline have increased significantly over the past few months and have become a cause for concern for environmentalists.
