Head on collision outside Walvis Bay

Early on Tuesday night, a Walvis Bay resident died on impact in a head on collision about 4 km outside of Walvis Bay.

According to the spokesperson of the Namibian Police in the Erongo Region, Deputy Commissioner Erastus Ikuyu, Barth Jacobs was traveling on the B2 route towards Walvis Bay from Swakopmund in his Audi and allegedly overtook a few cars before slamming head on into the left side of a Toyota RunX.
The passengers in the RunX sustained minor to more serious injuries. The 29-year-old driver is stable, while the only other man in the car sustained a seriously broken arm. The remaining three passengers, all women, sustained more serious injuries. Two of the three women are stable, and one suffered severe head injuries.
