Health Ministry urges schools to be Covid safe

The Ministry of Health and Social Services urged schools this week to step up precautionary measures to ensure learners and teachers are protected against Covid-19.

Namibia is now in its third wave of Covid infections with record numbers of people testing positive on a daily basis. A large number of these mass infections are school learners and teachers.
The Ministry assured Namibians it is coordinating actions with the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Teachers Unions of Namibia (TUN) to step up protection protocols at schools.
Khomas Region remains worst hit.
