HEINEKEN Golf day

Saturday 6 October the Namibian Breweries were back with some of their finest brew HEINEKEN – we had a good field of golfers out to support this long-time sponsor.

Weather conditions were good for golf, so an excellent day was had by all. Thanks to Helmut for putting the prizes together and officiating at prize giving and a big word of thanks to the Breweries for all their support of golf in Namibia.

Results:

1st S Johns/G Murasiki 46pts; 2nd C Lawrence/M Jacobs 44pts; 3rd: T Haimbondi/W Theron 42pts c/o; 4th: D Frankfort/L Stevens 42pts. There were no 2-clubs recorded.

Wednesday 10 October saw Prestige Accounting back in charge with some Ernie Els win and “lekker” truffles. As always there was a good turnout including a 5 hand from across the river.

Winners: 18 holes – Herman 37pts followed by Mark on 36pts; 9-hole winner over the back 9 was Rina 19pts; whilst the best Par 3 player of the day was Wayne.

Bunkers

The sand in the bunkers behind Number 18 and in front of Number 1 has been replaced with sea sand – it would be appreciated if golfers could give some feedback on how they play to Gert – before he tackles the rest of them.

Coming up:

Saturday 13 October will be the next round of the Destination Swakopmund with a Betterball Competition so round up your partners and come play some golf.

Wednesday 17 October we have some Pro Shop goodies up for grabs.
