Ignacia leads NUST assault

The Swakopmund based women’s soccer team Namib Daughters FC beat NUST FC 4-1 to maintain their perfect start in the Skorpion Zinc Women’s Super League on Saturday at the Vineta Central Sport stadium in Swakopmund .
Ignacia Haoses was the star player for the coastal team with her brilliant performance as she scored two of the four goals for her team that saw her scoop the player of the match award. Joycy Tsaes gave the host a 1-0 half-time lead. With the start of the second half Ignacia Haoses added her name to the score sheet to give the home team a 2-0 lead.
Moriza Gawanas from NUST had her shot deflected from her goal keeper after a shot at goal by Joycy into the back of the NUST net for 3-0 lead for the coastal girls.
Jessica Garoes pulled a goal back for NUST. In the 87th minute the referee awarded a free kick to the home team. Hoases step up and struck curling kick past the NUST goal keeper Victoria Haushona for her second and a 4-1 win for the Namib Daughters that put the coastal team third on the log with two wins and one draw.
Ten teams competing in the Skorpion Zinc Wo-men’s Super League that was launched in the beginning of this month. The Participating teams are Namib Daughters, NUST Babes, UNAM Bokkies, Tura Magic, Khomas Nampol, V Power Angels, Right Way FC, Gals & Goals FC, Girls Football Academy and Omaheke Queens FC.
The next game of the Namib Daughters will be on 3 November against Khomas Nampol at Vineta Central Sport stadium in Swakopmund. The Coastal Girls will play on 10 November against log leaders Tura Magic Girls away at the NFA Technical Centre in Windhoek..
