Its La Bella Vita at the Walvis Bay Waterfront

Two of Walvis Bay’s best-known chefs, Lothar and Gunter, have opened a restaurant at the Walvis Bay Waterfront – La Bella Vita.
With the picturesque Walvis Bay lagoon and the skyline of the bustling port of Walvis Bay in the backdrop, you are guaranteed a fine dining experience at La Bella Vita. A variety of dishes on the a la carte menu caters for every taste. From freshly harvested oysters, sea-food, pizza or a delicious game- or beef steak – all ingredients are fresh and prepared in-house under the experienced hands of chef Lothar. La Bella Vita’s bar and beer garden is the perfect setting to soak up the sun during lazy days and to enjoy the fresh sea breeze whilst sipping on a refreshing drink and ordering from the snack menu all day long. “We believe in using fresh ingredients. Every single sauce on the menu for instance is prepared in-house”, the duo explained during a visit to La Bella Vita this week. “We sold Lothar’s Steakhouse in Walvis Bay in 2015”, they explained. Lothar moved on to the Lemon Tree Restaurant in Walvis Bay and Gunter moved to Ondangwa and opened “The Rossini”
A couple of years later they decided to give it a go together again and today they are proud to offer locals and visitors a unique culinary experience at La Bella Vita.
Apart from the food menu, La Bella Vita is also unique in the sense that it offers four Namibian beers on tap – Windhoek Draught, Tafel Light, Windhoek Lager and Camelthorn.
La Bella Vita serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and is open daily from 08:00 to 23:00, except Sundays when it serves from 08:00 till 16:00. All dishes on the menu can also be ordered on take away. “Come and Enjoy Steaks and Seafood at its Best”, invite Lothar and Gunter.
