Jiu-Jitsu fighters qualify

Namibian Jiu-Jitsu fighters Lesley !Hoaëb , Giano Alcock and Delano Müller from Sylvio Behring Jiu Jitsu academy in Walvis Bay qualified for the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu championships in (UAEJJF) United Arab Emirates.

The qualifications were done at theJiu-Jitsu National Pro Championships -GI (with Kimono) in Johannesburg South Africa. The fighters will have the opportunity to represent Namibia next year at the South African Championships that will be held on 2-3 March in Cape Town South Africa.
The names of these fighters’ will be on the UAEJJF Ranking and is the mathematical method of ranking men and women on a calendar-year basis. The UAEJJF Ranking is the objective merit-based method used for determining qualification for fighters’ entries and seeding in all championships.
Giano Alcock won the Gold medal in the 38kg division and Delano Müller secured Gold in the open division. Lesley !Hoaëb ended in 5th place in the under 77kg as well as in the Ultimate open division.
