Kickboxers will rock harbour town

The Namibia Kickboxing Federation (NKF) will host Desert Storm III from 27 and 28 September at Jan Wilken Sport Complex in Walvis Bay.
More than 300 Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, Kuay Thai, MMA Sport and Krav Maga athletes from Namibia, South Africa, Angola, Brazil, Botswana, Ghana, Germany, Zambia and Zimbabwe vied to compete at the largest martial arts championships in Namibia.
There will once again be three Sub-Saharan title fights on offer at the com-petition that are sanctioned by the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO AU) and the Region 5 Kickboxing Confederation. The competition will also serve as National trials for all Namibian kickboxers that will par-take in International events and World Championships in the near future.
In attendance will be the South African Sports Commission and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) President Gideon Sam, President of Ring Contact Fighting Arts International (RCFAI) Joe Viljoen, WAKO World Association of Kick-boxing Organisations (WAKO) Region Five Confederation representative Shihan Aslam Mahomed, Namibian Sports Commission (NSC) representatives and South African singer, actor and songwriter Brendt Wayne de Wet as the Master of Ceremonies and the announcer.
The program will start on Friday at 13:00 with Self-Defence, Jiu Jitsu, MMA Sport,
Series/Kata Answell end of with the Fitness Challenge. Saturday from 08:00 – 17:00 will be the Kickboxing competition with the Pre – Title Fights and Sub-Saharan Title Fights slated for 18:00.
The entrance fees are; N$100 General admission for 2 days (without title fights)
N$150 General admission for 2 days (with title fights)
N$200 Front row seating at Title Fights (includes General Admission)
N$300 VIP table seating for individuals with food and drinks (includes General admission for 2 days)available at the door
