KPS Secondary School PRIZE GIVING 2018

This auspicious event in the calendar of the Karibib Private School was held on Thursday, 13 September 2018.
It was an event worthy of publishing in a newspaper, as the organising committee pulled out all stops to make it something special. Weeks of collecting data, arranging it in a program, buying and wrapping gifts, printing, decorating the school hall, etc. came to finally bear fruit.
Mrs. M. Botshiwe, the Organisational Development Officer of QKR Navachab Mine was the keynote speaker for this event.
Learners were treated to songs from our own Harmony Sisters, and received prizes made up of certificates, cash prizes and trophies. The newly elected LRC’s for 2019 were also introduced.
The most motivated learners in all subjects received book prizes. Our U/19 rugby team played in the Metropolitan league until the finals, received personalized jerseys, sponsored by Togetherness and Mr. W Bezuidenhout.
Many of the prizes were sponsored by parents and entrepreneurs from Karibib, and we wish to thank them from the bottom of our hearts. Without your gracious support this would not have been possible.
One of our top Gr. 12 learners, Ilona Garises, even received a brand-new laptop from Mr. S. Nashipeta, a local entrepreneur, while Hazel Mujanu in Gr. 11 received the ‘most versatile student’ award (includes a N$500 cash prize), sponsored by Deloitte and Touche.
The event was concluded with ‘graduating’ our Gr. 12 learners, and announcing the DUX learner.
May we extend our thanks to our sponsors?
