Kuska Street Parade
Küska 2019 concluded in Swakopmund on Saturday with a colourful street parade through the holiday town’s streets. This annual German Karneval attracts hundreds of visitors from other towns every year and also renders Swakopmund with a festive atmosphere spanning several weeks. The Küska starts every year with the traditional “Narrenwecker” which is also the countdown to the main event. The Narrenwecker was on Saturday 25 May.
On 21 June the Küska started with the Prinzenball, a Childrens Karneval on 22 June, an International Evening on 26 June, Büttenabend on 28 June, the Street Parade on 29 June and the Kehraus also the same day.
